Learning through
Engineering, Art and Design (LEAD) is a local creative learning
project, initiated in February 2005 by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups,
in collaboration with Massachusetts
Institute of Technology Media Laboratory and The
Chinese
University of Hong Kong. The Project is supported by Innovation and Technology Commission
of The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
LEAD is a long-term educational project with a specific aim - to nurture local creative talents at a young age. With the use of technologies, young people are given room to express their innovative spirit, originality and resourcefulness through a multi-disciplinary approach, incorporating science, engineering, multi-media, art and music.
Through design-based activities, LEAD hopes to enhance technological fluency of young people, and promote long-term development of creative education in Hong Kong.
